The birth of EAP - ‘Spread Love, Share Love’

On a visit to Tibet, eName CEO Mr. Jin observed local school-aged children of a considerable amount left at home as time elapsed when they should have been sent to school to acquire knowledge. Those innocent children with sparkle in their eyes, and the helplessness caused by pure poverty deeply impressed him. As an entrepreneur & the leader of the 13-yr-old eName, Jin’s well aware of the significance of education to the future of such children. At that moment he sensed clearly the weight of social responsibility enterprises like eName shall bear. Impoverished children deprived of necessary education spread over many undeveloped areas, and we gotta do something.

The same year on Children’s Day 2017, eName Aiducation Program(hereinafter referred to as EAP) was launched to ‘Spread Love, Share Love’, aiming to be the platform to collect & spread kindness and assistance, to be the bridge to connect, gathering everyone’s action to bring warmth together with material & psychological aid to as many children in need as possible. Also for every one who’s able to give love & help, inner experience and sense of achievement have been acquired, empathy grows and gradually be a better person when helping others becomes a lifelong habit.

Milestones of EAP in the 1st year

Material aid

From June 1, 2017 to Aug 1, 2018, EAP totally raised and spent ¥548,975 ≈ $80,746 in aiducating children in need.

[Charity Auctions] of staff’s idle items and paintings by children secured funds of ¥40,000 ≈ $5883 which all had been used in bringing children in need back to school.

[Visit & Aid] trips to Daliangshan, Sichuan and Qinghai, Tibet, bringing food and 750 winter quilts with the very warmth from the innermost of eName staff to the students.

[Gifts with Love] from all eName staff to realize the children’s little wishes - basketball, doll, remote control toy car, new skirt or simply a new pencil box , these trivial and ordinary things in others’ eyes can be big and long-desired wishes of such children for years.

[eName School] is an internal platform where staff with particular professional skills or industrial insights share their knowledge in class while participants pay for the knowledge they get. All proceeds go to charitable education activities as well, in a way both knowledge and love share.

Psychological aid

Material is only one of the key factors as children grow. Through EAP we notice many children in impoverished areas unfortunately are facing various problems which can’t be addressed just by material aid - we see children’s loneliness and self-isolation due to lack of love and the company from the family. We see they being too timid, or simply refuse to talk. We see their ignorance, knowing nothing outside their poor mountainous areas. To address these problems, EAP coordinated with NGOs including Chengdu Jinjiang District Social Organization Development Foundation and TLR to launch together the one-year ‘Teenage Growth & Development Project’ from July 1, 2018 - July 1, 2019, aiming to ensure teenage students in remote mountainous areas stay physically & psychologically healthy.

TLR is a NGO launched by a group of zealous scholars, experts, teachers and parents who attach importance to teenage education in common, aiming to grow teenage survival and life skills and vitality.

· Get close to children and to give love and care if children desire love but are self-isolated

· Teach children how to seek help from others if children don’t know how to do but cry when getting lost

· Organize speech contest among children to gradually make them conquer their fear if children are timid or introverted

· Make children clearly aware of all the dangers of taking drugs, and warn them to always stay away from drugs

· Conduct drills to improve children’s abilities of self protection against emergencies.

· Create environment for children of the same age to communicate and make friends if children are lonely

· Get children out of the remote mountainous areas and see the outside world if children’s knowledge is limited only to school books

EAP lasts

Time flied in the EAP 1st year, we’ve been to high mountains and flowing water of thousand miles, where locates the poor and backward hometown of such children in need. We’ve seen how the children have grown up, with the efforts every one has made. We’ve seen the changes not only in such children, but in the meanwhile we’ve grown as well.

EAP will last, for a better future of children in need.
